Privacy Policy — PreDate

Last updated: 2026-10-16

PreDate ("we," "us") provides dating-readiness coaching, including an online course, an attachment-style quiz, a personal Growth Profile, and an AI dating coach named Mirra. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

What we collect: Account information (name, email, login credentials). Quiz and assessment responses, including scores and archetype. Growth Profile and Dating Plan data (reflections, journal entries, self-ratings, values, boundaries, communication-style entries). Conversations with Mirra, our AI coach (sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, to generate responses; Mirra personalizes her coaching from your Growth Profile — your attachment results and belief reflections — so her replies build on your work; in aggregated and anonymized form only, they may also be used to improve the service — please don’t share sensitive personal details with the coach). Payment information (processed securely by Stripe or PayPal; we never see or store your full card number). Technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, cookies needed for login and site function).

How we use it: to run your account, course progress, Growth Profile, and Dating Plan; to personalize the AI coach (toggleable); to send quiz results, course updates, and opt-in marketing emails (every marketing email has an unsubscribe link); to improve the service using aggregated, anonymized data — never identifiable reflections or conversations; to process payments and prevent fraud.

Public verification (only if you turn it on): Members who earn a PreDate level can choose to switch on a public verification page. If you do, that page shows the name form you pick (full name, first name and last initial, or “A PreDate member”), your level, the date you earned it, and — if you choose — your profile photo and your current chapter (Learning, Dating, or Found Love). Your scores, journal entries, Dating Plan, and coach conversations are never shown. Sharing is off by default; you can turn it off at any time in your account, and your page and badge stop being public immediately. Anyone with your link can see the page while sharing is on — share it the way you’d share a profile.

Community counts: we publish a running count of PreDaters, including how many are Learning, Dating, or Found Love. It is a headcount only — no names and no personal information.

What we don’t do: we don’t sell your personal data, ever; we don’t share your journal entries, reflections, or identifiable coach conversations with third parties or advertisers; we don’t use your data to train public AI models.

Who sees your data: only the small PreDate team and the service providers required to run the site (hosting, payment processing, email delivery), each seeing only what it needs.

Your rights: request a copy, correction, or deletion of your data anytime via info@predate.me. Deletion is permanent.

Data retention: kept while your account is active; inactive 24 months may be deleted after notice.

Security: industry-standard measures, but no internet service is perfectly secure — use a unique password.

Children: PreDate is for adults 18 and older.

Changes: material changes notified by email before taking effect.

Membership, payments, and your writing — added October 24, 2026

Payments and subscriptions. When you buy the Course or Membership, our payment processors (such as Stripe) collect and store your payment details; we receive and keep your name, email, billing status, plan, renewal and trial dates, and a record of the consent you gave at checkout — we never see or store your full card number. We keep subscription and consent records for as long as your account is active and as required for tax, accounting, and consumer-protection compliance.

Renewal communications. If you have an auto-renewing Membership, we email you purchase confirmations, renewal reminders where the law requires them (including before annual renewals), and notices of price changes before they take effect. These are transactional emails; you can’t opt out of them while subscribed, and they are never marketing.

Your writing and Mirra (our AI coach). Your reflections, journal entries, and quiz answers are stored on your account so you can see them and so Mirra can coach you. When you use Mirra, your messages and the parts of your writing Mirra needs for context are processed by our AI service providers solely to generate your coaching responses and your Growth Profile, readiness score, Dating Plan, and certificates. We do not sell your writing, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use identifiable member writing to train public AI models. We may use de-identified, aggregated information (for example, “most members struggle with X at week 3”) to improve the program. If you are ever in crisis, Mirra is not a crisis service; our Coaching Disclaimer points you to real help (988 in the US).

Cancelling and deleting. Cancelling Membership stops future charges and ends Membership features at the end of the paid period; your Course access and your writing remain yours. Closing your account deletes your profile and writing after a short retention window, except records we must keep by law (payments, consent records). Email info@predate.me for a copy or deletion of your data.
